Merced City Bike Paths

The City of Merced has one of the finest city bikeway systems in the nation and has recently added a number of new lanes and routes to this extensive system. Bicyclists can follow a route to just about any area in the City. We're particularly proud of the Class I bike paths along Bear Creek and Black Rascal Creek.

Merced has some great Bike Routes!

Applegate Park & Zoo

Go wild in Merced’s first city park. See native wild animals at the Applegate zoo or head to Kiddyland amusement park and ride the train (weekends, June to September) around the parks 23 acres. In addition, the park features picnic areas and a rose garden.

Golf Courses

Merced offers golf courses famous for their scenery, conditions, and variety. They offer spectacular surroundings at affordable prices.

Merced Community Parks

A morning bike ride...An afternoon picnic... An early evening jog... Whatever your interests, our community parks offer a wide range of year round recreational opportunities.

Have a picnic at the park!

Grassland Wetlands

Only five percent of California's historic 4 million acres of Central Valley wetlands exists today. More than one-third of these remaining wetlands are found in Merced County. This unique area has maintained incredible diversity, offering permanent and seasonal wetlands, riparian corridors and native grassland. Great for hiking and birdwatching.
